Why Anodize Your Machined Aluminum Parts?
Oct 27, 2021
Anodized machined aluminum parts look better and more durable. Anodizing process is very economical and affordable.
There are two good reasons to consider anodizing your machined aluminum parts.
When anodizing aluminum, a layer of oxide is created and forms a layer on the aluminum’s surface. This layer is so thin that it doesn’t even materially impact the dimensions of precision machined parts. Because the oxide layer is harder than the aluminum, it protects the metal underneath it, making it scratch-resistant and increasing corrosion resistance.
The most significant advantage of anodized machined aluminum parts is that there are many colors options available. It won't fade or be scratched off. In fact, you can add any color you like to anodized aluminum parts. For example: red, pink, gold, yellow, green, brown, black, blue, purple, bronze, champagne, gray, etc.
